Jonathan Matos, of Danbury, was arrested on Thursday, March 28, following a stop of his 2007 Honda Accord at the intersection of Danbury Road and Catalpa Road in Wilton, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk.
When officers approached the vehicle they noticed tightly rolled dollar bills in plain sight and when they asked Matos what they were, he allegedly answered that he used them to ingest cocaine, Kluk said.
A search of his vehicle turned up 0.339 grams of suspected cocaine, police said.
Matos was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession within 1,500 of a school, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving without a headlight.
He was held on $5,000 bond.
